Benin Market Women Reject Pastor Josephine "Otagbogbo" Ibhaguezejele

By Ehizokale Ogette

Benin market women have declared that Pastor Josephine "Otagbogbo" Ibhaguezejele cannot “Otagbogbolize” their markets. She, together with her self-styled “Iyaloja-General,” has been pronounced persona non grata by the Benin market community and advised to take her activities elsewhere.

“Go and do your ‘Iyaloja’ in Lagos, not here,” they warned. The women have also been instructed to wear their traditional Benin Ododo (blood red  attire as they prepare to remove the impostors from the markets once again.

Traders were further cautioned not to pay any rates, levies, or taxes to Josephine or engage with her. Their decision was reaffirmed through the Benin traditional Iye-Eki, Madam Blacky Ogiamien.
