What a Country! Urgent Action Needed on Chemical-Ripened Bananas

What a Country! Urgent Action Needed on Chemical-Ripened Bananas

 By: Ehizokale Ogette

It is shocking and disturbing to see how harmful chemicals are being used to ripen bananas almost instantly in our markets. This careless act shows a total disregard for public health and safety, as consumers are unknowingly exposed to substances that could harm their bodies over time. It is a serious concern that demands immediate attention.

The use of such chemicals is not only dangerous but also unacceptable in any society that values the well-being of its people. These practices can lead to severe health issues, including organ damage and chronic illnesses, putting millions at risk.

The government must act swiftly by investigating, regulating, and holding offenders accountable. Strict enforcement of food safety standards and public awareness campaigns are necessary to stop this harmful trend. Protecting the lives of citizens should always come first, and it is time authorities take decisive action to ensure the food we eat is safe and healthy. #FoodSafety #PublicHealth
